News: The Dresden Files RPG Sweeps Origins

This year will be remembered as the year of The Dresden Files, for taking both the Best Roleplaying Game and Best Roleplaying Game Supplement in the 2011 Origins Award.

According to the list of winners released by Critical Hits, The Dresden Files Roleplaying Game: Our Story had managed to reach the top as the Best Roleplaying Game with some stiff competition from the likes of DC Adventures, Dragon Age, Fiasco and Gamma World.

The Dresden Files Roleplaying Game: Our World was voted as Best Roleplaying Supplement over the A Song of Ice and Fire Campaign Guide, the Advanced Players' Guide for Pathfinder, Shadowrun Sixth World Almanac and Sunward: The Inner System.

The Dresden Files RPG is based on a novel series of the same name written by Jim Butcher, and created by Evil Hat Productions where players can play as ordinary humans or with special powers in a modern day world of magic where mythical creatures exists.

The game which uses a modified version of the FATE system from Evil Hat's own Spirit of the Century game, was published by Indie Press Revolution and released during Origins 2010.
