[Product] Debatable Actions

LPJ Design has released Debatable Actions, a sourcebook to resolve verbal conflicts for the Pathfinder RPG.

This 23 page PDF, written by Louise Porter Jr. and Jonathan Palmer, introduces three systems to rule debates that are central to the plot of a campaign.

There are also simpler debate rules to resolve 'sidetrack' discussions, aside from the new feats, skills use, spells and wondrous magic items to give your characters an edge on the debate.

The sourcebook also comes with a 36-card deck for use to enhance gameplay.

Debatable Actions is now available at RPGNow and DriveThru RPG for $4.99.

Psionic Cavian

Creatures of myth, whispered in legend, lost in the mists of history – and now returned for reasons unknown to any but themselves.

Such are the cavians, a race of humanoid rodents noted for their incredible psionic abilities. All Cavians have innate mental abilities, most often displayed in their hive mind ability.

Some Cavians, however, have innate psionic ability above and beyond this mental connection. These Cavians are often more cerebral and logical, where their non-psionic brethren are more intuitive and instinctual in their abilities.

Although both psionic and non-psionic Cavians have similar abilities, the differences are enough that rivalries between the two breeds are not unknown.

LPJ Design has released Psionic Cavian, a supplement to play as the Psionic Cavian as a PC race in LPJ Design's NeoExodus: A House Divided setting for the Pathfinder RPG.

Inside the supplement, written by J Joshua Cole, JP Chapleau and Jeremy Smith with Louis Porter Jr., you will find details to play as a Psionic Cavian including personalities and relations.

Psionic Cavian also introduces the Psionic Cavian Paragon class and three new Alternate Racial Traits. It also comes with monsters counters, initiative and monster cards.

News: LPJ Design Releasing One Product A Week from August 2011 to July 2012

LPJ Design has announced that they would be releasing a weekly product from their NeoExodus: A House Divided line for the Pathfinder RPG for a year, starting from August 2011 to July 2012.

The announcement, which was made on their blog, also said that the company is hoping that British game publisher Cubicle 7 would be their publisher in the upcoming year and this initiaive is part of LPJ Design's business goal to achieve that.

In the blog post, Louis Porter Jr writes;

We have hired several new writers, assigned a LOT of work to them and have our artists in order for work. 52 PDF release this year AND roughly 10 Print on Demand releases too.

But best of all we have made it a business wide goal for LPJ Design for the upcoming year to get picked up by Cubicle 7, to act as our print broker and distributor of our gaming material to retail locations. We talked to them in the past and Angus Abranson seemed interested. I guess we are going to have to prove why they should be working with us. Time to step up our game. Start saving your money NOW, and get ready for August.

This is the second time that LPJ Design has attempted such a fast moving release schedule. Their first attempt was its M&M Superlink line for Mutants and Masterminds which released a weekly product for two years.

The 49 page supplement, written by Joshua Cole with J.P. Chapleau, Benjamin Wenham and Louis Porter Jr. for Pathfinder, details the history of the First Ones and guides GMs on how to use them in the NeoExodus setting, along with famous First Ones to be used as NPCs.

Mechanics-wise, the supplement introduces 25 new feats, 2 new spells, eight new monsters and two creature types.

The supplement also comes with a combat & initiative tracker, character sheets and monster cards.

Sales: LPJ Design Memorial Day One Day Sale Weekend

LPJ Design would be starting off this summer with a Memorial Day One Day Sale Weekend starting on May 27 to 30.

The sale will see a 50% off on a majority of their PDF on DriveThruRPG and RPGNow. So it might be better to wait till this coming Friday before you stock up on getting anything from them.

Maybe it would be good time to get their Ultimate Spell Deck cards for Pathfinder players.

Product: Ultimate Spell Decks: Alchemist Spell Cards

LPJ Design has expanded their Ultimate Spell Decks for the Pathfinder RPG to the classes of the Advanced Player's Guide with the Alchemist Spell Cards.

The Alchemist Spell Cards contains each of the spells in the Alchemist spell list in a card form which has the description of the spell and the significant and relevant rules of the spell, for quicker referencing during the session.

The Ultimate Spell Decks are printable PDFs so that you can print multiple copies as needed by the players of the GM.

Product: Image Portfolio Platinum Edition Free: Storn Cook

LPJ Design has just released the Image Portfolio Plantinum Edition Free: Storn Cook for free.

The PDF contains three images that can be freely used by publishers for any of their upcoming RPG products under a limited licensing agreement.

Each of the images are full colored that can be used for fantasy, sci-fi and mixed genres.

LPJ Design would be going into a new joint venture to produce new products for their Image Portfolio Platinum line with new stock art provided by artist Storn Cook.

According to the LPJ blog, Storn has done art works for AEG, Fasa, Green Ronin, Hero Games/ DOJ , Iron Crown Enterprises, Kenzer Inc., Steve Jackson Games, TSR, West End Games, Wizards of the Coast and many others.

Storn Cook's Image Portfolio Platinum Edition #2 would be released in a few weeks in RPGNow.
