Atomic Overmind Press and New Dark Ages have released a preview PDF from the revised edition of Unhallowed Metropolis on their website.The 6 page PDF offers a glimpse on the practice of animating zombies through a lecture by Professor Jacob Highman from the School of Medicine, University of London in 2105AD.
Unhallowed Metropolis is a 'gas-mask chic roleplaying game of Neo-Victorian Horror' that is set in an alternate history where the world has entered into a zombie apocalypse due to an epidemic known as The Plague that turned humans into zombies since 1905.
London has become the capital of a new Neo-Victorian empire which is defended by high walls and Tesla lightning towers from the flesh eating undead but there are threats to the survivors within the walls and cramped streets of the city as well.
Created and written by Jason Soles and Nicole Vega, the revised edition will have a newly updated and streamlined rules. It will also include new character concepts to be played such as Aristocrats, Criminals, Detectives, Deathwatch Soldiers, Dhampiri Vampire Hunters, Doctors, Mourners and Undertakers.
Trail of Cthullhu, The Day After Ragnarok and Tour de Lovecraft: The Tales author Kenneth Hite would be writing a foreword in the revised edition.
Unhallowed Metropolis, Revised is set to release in September 2011 for $39.95 and is currently available for pre-order at the Atomic Overmind Press webstore. Pre-orders can be picked up at GenCon 2011 or will be shipped sometime in mid-August.
